Tosens is a little village in the Western part of Tirol, close to the city of Landeck,  with 700 inhabitants.

During the 15th century ore rocks for the production of silver, galena and barite were mined here. The productivity decreased from century to century, and finally in 1910 the mine had to close forever.

Tosens is one of the financially weakest villages in the district of Landeck.
